Obituary

Carmen Xuereb, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on October 30, 2026 at the age of 88.

Born on December 8, 1937, in Floriana, Malta, Carmen lived a life centered around her family. After losing her beloved husband, Cikku, at a young age, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her children, grandchildren, and eventually, great grandchildren.

Carmen expressed her love through cooking traditional Maltese meals, baking, and a little bit of old-fashioned Maltese yelling.  Though quiet by nature, she had plenty of sass, and a laugh that brought joy to those around her. She treasured her friendships, but her greatest happiness came from the time spent with her family. Her steady presence and love were constant in the lives of those closest to her.

Carmen is lovingly remembered by her children, Charlie (Marthese) Xuereb and Alessia (Joseph) Borg; her grandchildren Melanie (Jason), Frank (Randi), Jean-Carl (Sissi) and Francesca (Kyle); her great-grandchildren Kinley, Lincoln, Dani, Alexandra and Alina; and her siblings, Fred, Ganna, and Helen.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Francis (Cikku) Xuereb.

Carmen’s legacy lives on in the family she loved so dearly, the memories they shared, and the traditions that will continue for generations to come. She will be deeply loved, fondly remembered, and forever missed.
