Michigan Memorial has a consecrated ground area that houses Catholic burials and a columbarium.

You can choose either a traditional in-ground burial, a columbarium niche or a bench with urn niches.

The territory of land burials is framed with lawn grass, at the grave in the headboard there is a slab of polished granite with personal data.

The columbarium for Catholics is made of high quality granite in the color of coffee and milk. Each niche, in the Catholic Dedication columbarium, is designed for the burial of two urns. The front slab covering the niche is engraved with individualized information provided by the family of the deceased. There is also a neat bronze container where you can place flowers and pay tribute to the departed loved one.

In the center of the exhibit, between the burials in the ground and the columbarium, is a bronze sculpture of Christ the Savior on the cross with quotes from scripture.

In 1963, the Vatican changed its attitude toward cremation and allowed it along with traditional burial. Therefore, by choosing cremation and subsequent burial in the niche of a Catholic columbarium, you are not contradicting Christian teaching.
