Unique Funeral Optional Add On
Eternal Flame
Exclusively for our Veterans. In perpetual gratitude towards and in remembrance of those that served...
In appreciation and recognition of those who have served the United States of America, Michigan Memorial has created an "Eternal Flame" columbarium for the sole purpose to store urns with veterans' ashes.
The Columbarium is located in a vast clearing framed by pine trees. Around the "Eternal Flame" is a wall with niche urns, protecting the flame from the winds and framing the Eternal Flame. The U.S. flag, proudly flying in the center of the composition, emphasizes the gratitude of the people of America to their citizens who left their lives and health for the freedom and prosperity of the country.
Dedicated crematorium staff provide care for the well-maintained and tranquil grounds of the Eternal Flame columbarium. Strict plaques include name, rank, date of birth and death.
The crematorium staff will assist you in choosing a casket and appropriate music, flowers and urns for the funeral ceremony. They will also provide flags and grief support.
The Columbarium Eternal Flame in Michigan is a tribute to the brave warriors: the men and women who put the ultimate sacrifice on the altar for their country.
The selfless exploits of the state's veterans deserve deep respect, and the ashes of veterans deserve a thoughtful and careful burial in a columbarium, next to their comrades-in-arms.
We honor not only the exploits of our veterans, but also their spouses who waited for their loved ones.
Therefore, the Eternal Flame columbarium provides niches for two urns.
The eternal flame, burning with natural gas, radiates an undying light and serves as a powerful reminder of the indomitable spirit of the American people.
Who is the Eternal Flame columbarium for ?
- Members of the U.S. Armed Forces killed in wars, special military operations, and military campaigns.
- Veterans who have served their allotted time in the U.S. military.
- Members of the U.S. Armed Forces - men and women who died in the line of duty.
Cremation of deceased veterans is growing in popularity because the price of a niche in a columbarium is lower than the price of a separate burial for a veteran.
The price for a niche for two urns in the Eternal Flame columbarium is $6,200.
