CREMATION BURIAL Options AT MICHIGAN MEMORIAL PARK:

Mausoleum

Michigan Memorial Park has several locations for mausoleums around Lake Sylvan, near the Woodside Community Mausoleums, and in the Lighthouse Rose Garden. A private family mausoleum can accommodate from one to 16 family members. Each building is custom-made and can be designed by the family.

Michigan Memorial Park has room not only for traditional burial or columbaria with niches for urns containing cremated remains, but also for aboveground burials such as: mausoleums, family vaults or individual burial crypts.

In addition to vault burial, several Memorial mausoleums are equipped with cremation niches. These include cremation niches in Angel Garden (5), Courtside (29), Woodside I (36I), Woodside II (36II), Arborview (37), and Shrine of Remembrance (19).

Above-ground burials: mausoleums, crypts, tombs, stand out for the beauty and uniqueness of the structures created to house the bodies of the deceased and immortalize the memory of them.

Typically, for burial in a mausoleum, the body of the deceased is placed in a coffin, which is then placed on a shelf in the crypt.

A burial vault is essentially an airtight container that preserves the integrity of the casket.

And a mausoleum is a magnificent structure with a crypt above ground.

Michigan Memorial has 14 mausoleums that can accommodate up to two caskets. A family mausoleum is basically for a couple who has chosen to be buried in an above-ground structure. Building a private mausoleum for a married couple is a fairly expensive burial option. But creating a beautiful, ornate and unique structure for a peaceful eternal resting place is worth it.

One of the many benefits of a family mausoleum is that it will emphasize the uniqueness of family values and accomplishments through architectural highlights: special choices of finishing stone or murals, bronze or steel, embellishments with sculptures, fountains, and more.

Michigan Memorial Park offers tombs in mausoleums for families or individuals.

Several Michigan Memorial mausoleums are used for both above-ground casket burial and burials in cremation niches.

We designed our mausoleums with the comfort of visitors and beauty in mind. Therefore, our mausoleums are well-lit, equipped with benches, decorated with stained glass windows, flowerbeds and sculptures.

Each of the mausoleums is a unique and quiet, beautiful and cozy place, where in silence you can reflect on the frailty of life, indulge in memories of the life of a loved one who is forever gone.

The advantages of a columbarium in a mausoleum include aesthetic appeal, better protection from weather disasters, and, consequently, more reliable preservation of the remains.

Thus, a public mausoleum is at the same time a columbarium to house an urn containing the ashes of any member of society, not just the family.

You can order an above-ground burial in a mausoleum columbarium for 1-2 urns in niches. To do this, take a look at our columbariums and choose the one that suits your taste or taste of the deceased loved one.
